I was at Mum & Dad's this week when Dad produced a photo my his parents wedding! What a surprise. When i had asked in earlier years i was told there were no photos and Dad doesnt remember ever seeing one either. But fate stepped in!
My grandmothers sister, who is in her 90s is moving to a nursing home and in her house her daughter found some old pictures, including the one of my grandparents wedding (pictured). What a fantastic find it was. How young my gm looks - she is only 17. The groomsman is my grandfathers brother Evan. My son looks incredibly like him. We think the bridesmaid is my gm sister Evelyn, but not yet confirmed. There is no writing on the back, we are just going from other photos.
Isnt the background just gorgeous? I have now scanned it and will scrap it shortly. I am so pleased to have found it and have another treasured memory to add to my album.
